Very impressive car...I like the looks and it's hot engine too. I am not too keen on the Lexus style front head lights though...to much of a copy and cop out. I prefer the sedans front head lights. Hey Nissan...any chance that you will keep the Maxima as a car in the Nissan lineup. How about putting this engine and x drive on the new Maxima? You would really smoke the Acuras, Toyotas, Hondas and Bimmers, not to mention just about anything American.
It would be nice to see this car with x drive (especially for Canada) however I must say that I also believe that the new Altima coupe is just as hot. IMO save 20K Buy an Altima SE-R coupe in Red and put the money saved in a body spoiler kit, lower it, and mod the engine....And then we can talk!

I also found myself looking at the altima coupe more than the g37!

I never loved the idea of a front drive coupe and they definitely aren't sports cars, but I really liked the new Altima as well. I was really stuck on the G37 though. I found myself standing there staring and envisioning how I could mod one as it went around and around on the turntable. As soon as that thing hits showrooms, I'm definitely going in for a test drive.

I don't know about saving $20K on an SE-R version of an Altima coupe. If you don't option the g37c too heavily, the price difference is not that significant. The last altima se-r came fully optioned and very close to $30K. Figure the new a-coupe se-r version (if they make it) to include all the goodies and come in around the same if not more. A base g37c may come in at 33 or 34, and be a much better option imho due to its rwd platform. unless you just have to have a rear view camera on your altima. just my $.02...

First, I am not knocking the Altima, it's a fine car. Who knows, if the hybrid version impresses me enough, I might buy one as a DD.
But there really should not be a comparison between it and the G37 - simply because of the front-wheel versus rear-wheel issue.
The G37 is a sports coupe, the Altima is a 'sporty' coupe.

I like how he threw in the RED part. much more convincing argument than an altima se-r coupe in say white or tan :p

This is the fault of Nissan/Infiniti though for taking all of the edge off of the G37 coupe concept and making it so lame- Had they stuck more closely to the concept- there WOULD BE NO comparison. Again, I am glad I went with the sedan this time.
