You'd think the more publicity they get the better... or they're pissed from the orig 'arizona track' leak / stillin dealer display day!
From Car and Driver:

"Trust us, we’ve already put the new G37 through its paces, including hot laps at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama as well as at Grattan Raceway in Michigan, and managed to squeeze a 700-mile road trip in between. However, Infiniti mandated that we’re not allowed to post any stories or videos until June 25th. Please check back then."

Or, maybe, Monday July 25 is the day Infiniti releases the G37 prices.

i suppose the title of this thread is a bit misleading as i passed along what someone else wrote. None the less... i do question their (infiniti's) reasons for containing new info as the car has already been announced (nyias) and prelim. reviews did already make their way to the public (arizona track) and the infiniti website already details the specs. Looking forward to those full reviews though.
i can only gather that they're doing this (as dmk already mentioned) because of a price announcement. It wouldnt surprise me to see these cars showing up in dealerships around july (as demo models).

GM went after the employee of a moving company that posted pictures of their 'Blue Devil' super-Corvette on the internet. The man was fired and was supposedly going to be brought up on charges of violating the contract between GM and the movers as well.
As to Infiniti doing this - they are trying to manage the flow of information of their product to cause as much interest as possible. Their feeling may be that in delaying the release of information people will complain (like erm, us!) and the publicity will be that much greater. This doesn't bother me too much - after all they are a private company and can do what they want within the confines of the law.

So right. My brain said June, my fingers typed July. I guess my fingers were thinking of the July vacation. Sorry.

June 25 is a week away, so yeah, no biggie. If it was July 25th I would say they are definately control freaks. I'm predicting some good review info and a surprise. ;)
