Here is more to read from theCarConnection.com (http://www.thecarconnection.com/Vehicle_Reviews/SUVs_Wagons/2009_Dodge_Journey_Preview.S181.A13279.html) website. Some car companies are pioneers, some are bandwagon jumpers, and some are just "What Happened?" Kind off late to be coming into the section of crossover SUVs, don't you think Dodge. Plus, this thing is just bearly the size of a RAV4. Also, let me guess.........., the mid-size will be call Starship if this one does become successful.

The front looks borderline dated. But it looked pretty decent in the red color.

It's a Crossover for the Kmart crowd.

Excelsior!!!

Chrysler is always late to the party. Habitual procrastinators.

This thing looks like a Caravan without the sliding door. I'm always amazed at how a manufacturer can look at the other options out there and then come out with something so underwhelming ...

That's what consumers want ... people movers without sliding doors. Why? Dunno.

Hey remember that time Dodge further cannabilized the SUV market that Jeep once proudly stomped in by continuing to release vehicles that cut into market share? Oh wait, that's right now. It's like between Jeep and Dodge they have a bunch of parts of the right SUV but can't put any of them together into one solid package.

Blues Brothers rocked Chicago in a "shitbox Dodge" Monaco. M TYPE X cruised Chicago in a "shitbox Dodge" Stratus.

I fear that one day, this rite of passage will be no longer possible, as there will be no more Chrysler from which to source a proper shitbox.

You give Ford way too much credit.

When I was a kid, we had an MPV in the family. The lack of sliding doors was GREAT, since my dad's company cars (Chrysler vans mostly) were cumbersome to open and close. I cant understand why Mazda let such a nice van wither on the vine.

In the age of power sliding doors (invented by GM on the POS dustbuster vans), I don't see the advantage to standard doors anymore.
