Nice, very nice, I'm not a fan of blue on vehicles, but Iam on the FJ
Cruiser. If gas would go down, Id have one of these. :D

Make sure you chop off your friend's legs too ok, 'cos they will need them off in order to sit in the back seat. That way, it will also help you pay for gas and it is not your legs.

Unless someone is 7 ft. tall there is plenty of room in the backseat
of the FJ Cruiser. :)

either hate it or love it.. err.. or be in the middle :D
it's day4 and I love this thing to death! I actually don't care for the back seat.. just gonna leave it down, so I have room for other stuff.. I can finally go snowboarding, camping, offroading etc..

Did this replace anything, or was it just added to the stable?

Can't find it now, but I remeber seeing an FJ forum where a number of members had major structural issues with the inner front fenders buckling and even cracking/tearing. Some admitted to jumping their trucks while others swear they only tread lightly...keep an eye out for those threads and make sure to monitor your truck for similar issues.

There's 2 reported at http://www.safercar.gov/
No government investigation yet.

There is a structural defect.
"Toyota appears to be responding very well to the problem and apparently will fix it. "
"Seems that Toyota is working on the problem "
Is what the forum is saying.

Off road vehicles should be made to go off road without damage. Toyota appears to be putting a good effort into fixing this.

My mother-in-law got a yellow one earlier this summer.
The dealer had put on some nice chrome 18" wheels with 31" tires and a 3" lift. Looks pretty cool with the wheels/lift.

Defect??? I think the only defect is behind the wheel! These SUV's are not made for jumping and guess what? The owners will not say or report they did just to cover their butts !

And I agree but jumping???

From what I have read on other forums this has more to do with certain MODS done by their owners and of course jumping with them........I tip my hat to Toyota for looking at this but I smell fish all over it.....

The Fj is still a great SUV I say.

Years ago, there was a TV show called "Rat Patrol", about troops cchasing Rommel in WWII. There was an opening shot of them jumping a Jeep that was way cool. I tried that some years later in an M35 6X6 2.5 ton truck. $17K damage!

I think I'm okay with it.... until the white top. I know its nostalgic, but I'm just not feeling it.

For me it was a tossup between this and the '05-'07 Xterra. I really loved this, and the dealer even dropped the keys in my hand and let me take it for a spin for as long as I wanted. Bad decision. That long test drive clinched it for me; the blind spots were not acceptable. I got my Xterra, and I'm loving it!

The blind spots would bother me a little, but I dont think it would be a deal breaker. I happen to like a couple cars with blind spots, including the 240SX convertible (top up) and Eldorado.

Its odd, but I like that Toyota is finally starting to care about design.
