The one thing I really miss about my old Max was the convenience of that cargo net in the trunk. What goes in the cargo net, stays in the cargo net. :D Well, I figured it out about a week ago. My cargo net for the Rogue arrives UPS tomorrow.

Sure I know there is a pop-up area for this, but it is limited and things do rattle.

maybe pics and details if you gravel :p

Is this a genuine Nissan cargo net? I did not yet see one on parts sites...

I wouldn't mind having one, since it'd come in handy when you're carrying something larger so need to keep the special compartment shut, but still have loose items that warrant netting up.

Anyways, I got my genuine Honda Cargo Net today. Before you start laughing, take a look at the pic.

The blue item in the back is an umbrella being held back with bungee cords.

It is the factory net for the 2002-2006 CRV and is convertible. Simply said, it can use the center hook area and creates a pocket angled to the rear (vertical installation). I have not tried it yet because my wife won't leave this car at home long enough for me to experiment. But this pictured method, (horizontal installation)on the floor is going to be my default. Gobs of items can be tucked under and kept secure.

Here are some links if you care to investigate on your own.
I found the $50 net on e-bay for $35 from a real dealer. Mine was for bid and I bid $30 and won (no other bids)

Here is the install directions from another dealership. I know the address looks like a misdirect, but it is a real dealership.

Well, none of you ever said anything about my cargo net, but it is really quite the ticket. I can stuff huge quantities of items under the net and everything remains not only in place, but silent. And if any of the packages are undersized, you can slip it into the net's opening to the rear, giving it extra support.

Another nice feature is that anything put on top of the empty net, now gets an anti-slip surface that keeps that item from moving.

The only bad feature that I can identify is that you must undo the two rear clips (7 seconds) if you want to use the pop-up bin. Not much of a problem to me but maybe some like that area more than me.

I think the thing is a lot of us (at least I am) looking for vertical, hang-down style net that most sedans have in their trunks, so it keeps vertically filled grocery bags, well, vertical. Your solution is great for sports equipment and similar stuff like that, but a vertical net would be what a lot of us, probably moreso people with S models that don't come with the storage organizer, are looking for, to keep groceries from tipping.

I thinkthis might also help with those items too

Also a Gym bag would be held well which is what I always lug around..

Great find Bill!!!

Got a new digital camera and I was looking to compare pictures for improvement, of course. I took this new wide angle shot of the net area for comparison and thought that some of you might like to see it too.

When I first read this, I understood your point but did not think it all that true. But after using this net on the floor for a while, I felt that some of my options were not quickly accessible. Sure, the back hooks snapped off, but not as easily as I stated.

Anyways, I now have the best of both worlds. Using the net's suggestions from the manual, I did not attach the rear hooks but instead put the loops onto the center (top) supports. Now the net is semi-upright with easy access from the tailgate. No, it is not 100% vertical, but the area is very usable for most of my special needs, and holds the contents from shifting and rattling. Also available is the factory pop up storage area. In fact both can be used at the same time. The best of both makes for maximum flexibility.
