Only for a couple minutes. Just up and down the road in Gardena. The car is fast, the power is very linear. It feels as if it pulls the same at 80 as it does from 30.
The transmission shifts very fast, the rev matched downshifts are cool.

I have a couple of lame videos, that I need to put up. I know Eric took some pics, and I am sure he will post those .
From the limited time in the car, the suspension on normal is a bit stiff for US roads, in comfort it seemed noticeably different.
It was great to be able to get in the car and drive it. Maybe a little surreal. Over the next weeks, we should be having some fun with it.

how does it compare to a 500-600bhp Skyline, like the R34s you were racing?

btw I think I missed the thread but how'd someone take delivery of a US-spec GT-R so early? and...
1) speed limiter is gone? (I realize this is something you wouldn't have been able to check out on your own yet, just wondering if you've heard what the USDM ECU is like...)
2) is it really detuned to 450bhp?

Not US spec car. JDM cars.
As far as how it feels compared to a 500 hp R32-R34. I really didn't have enough time to really tell you. The power is very, linear. No big rush and fall of power.
Next week, hopefully I will have a chance to spend some more time in the car.

The R35 is highly evolved from the BNR34. The car and engine are pretty bad ass. Here are some of my pics - R35 @ M-Workz (http://jdm-insider.com/Blogs/Eric/?p=763).

dont give a new gtr to a bunch of gtr buffs ;)
Is that packaging or what? The smaller the packaging, the stiffer they can make the chassis.
unfortunately that creates a z32 tt engine bay when nissan tries

Loved your comment about the paint colors. Silver is so boring and way too common. I think there's no color I'd avoid more than the generic light silver you see so often. Then again, I really like white cars too, so maybe I'm just wierd.

It would sure be worth it for product design and knowledge. I am not sure who's it is but it has Steve Mitchell's M-Workz stickers on it in the pictures with Sean playing around under the hood Eric from Cosworth is near by. All three are capable of offering some great new products, input and being at the forefront when this car arrives. Why let HKS, Trust, and other companies make all the money and have all the fun.

4 months is 4 months. Some people just will never understand. Its ok. Don't let it hurt your brain.
Cobb Tunings car came in this morning also. They will be developing parts for the cars also.

I wish Steve's R32 was up and about. It would have made for a nice comparison test... Although the R35s need to get some miles on them before anything can (should) really be pushed I supposed.

RHD R35 is way cooler than a LHD one. Plus, why not be the first kid on the block with the newest toy.
