Well stick by the adage better late than never. Due to video software issues, krazy has just been able to edit the recap of the 2007 MW Z Heritage Event held in Brown County, IN , hosted by the Indy Z Car Club and sponsored by Hubler Nissan. Now its time to move on to the 2008 MW Z Heritage Event sponsored by the Windy City Z Club, on Chicagos westside. Here is all the information needed to make your plans and reservations. Z you in the Windy City!
2008 Midwest Z Heritage Fest June 6, 7, 8
The Windy City Z Club is hosting the 9th annual Midwest Z Heritage Fest and invites participation from the ChicagoZ.com forum members. We are asking for both event participation in attendance and helping out with holding this event. Last year 95 Z cars from all over the Midwest attended this event in Nashville, Indiana. This year we are also inviting other old school performance Datsuns and new school Gs and GTRs to the event. Host hotel is the Marriott in Lisle on RT 53.
EVENT SCHEDULE
Friday
11:00 am start of registration
Possible public road driving event
Saturday Car Show and Autobahn Track Touring
AM car cleanup starts, leave for track 10:00 am
Check in and grid at track 11:00ish
Autobahn Country Club track touring Saturday noon to 1 pm
Clean up continue after return from track - Judging for the car show will make allowance for track dirt etc.
Judging starts by 1PM, Must be ready for judging by 4PM cut-off
Dinner starts at 7:30PM
Awards start by 8:30PM
Sunday
Open day, provide possible destinations to explore Chicago (Volvo Car Museum, downtown, Great America, etc.)
Possible other Z related event TBD.
We need help in all aspects, registration, judging, sponsorships, running/hosting other events, etc. Let us know what you are interested in.
