Got a call last night from a very good friend in Europe. She works for a big auto firm in Germany. The information she has is that Carlos Ghosn is leaving Renault/Nissan to run BMW.

How is that for juicy?

Very juicy. But highly improbable.

Haha!! He will for sure take his GT-R with him. An M3 will never be any sufficient replacment for the mighty GT-R.

I hope not bc he has a lot of work to do at Renault-Nissan. He should at least get the stock price of Nissan up over the USD $20.00 level. Ghosn has too much invested in both companies and both countries. BMW are such POS anyway, overpriced garbage.

I wouldn't say BMWs are a POS per se; overpriced- yes. I'm sure the dollar has a part to play in that as well. Maybe this should be Ghosn for pres instead! :P
I do hope for Ren/Nissan that Ghosn plans to stick around for a while- otherwise the below $20 stock as seen right now would sink even further.

Gov't doesnt pay the kind of money being the CEO of even most good small businesses does, much less a titan like an automotive company

Carlos, post operation, wearing a message on his shirt for BMW to read and heed:

Should we put Carlos' pic here in the Hot Chick thread to boost his...um...her ego even more?

Something tells me Ghosn-san's ego doesn't need boosting, but if that's the new 'G' in the pic, she needs more than a boost elsewhere.

And yes, I can't afford it .... no way can I afford that.
