It gets plus- and minuspoints for the handling, but at least it is rated better than Honda and Toyota.

"Another cappuccino?" the waiter asks. No thanks. St. Antoine pays the bill, and we head back to the cars (http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/suvs/112_0806_compact_crossover_comparison/results.html#), into the afternoon traffic, and for home. Five compact sport/utes heading in five different directions-literally this time. One is velvety riding and frugal, another is X-Games gonzo, the third has an interior crafted like a Rolex, the fourth has the personality of an IBM controller. The final one? That's the winner.
The VUE (http://www.motortrend.com/cars/2008/saturn/vue/index.html) and Rogue (http://www.motortrend.com/cars/2008/nissan/rogue/index.html) share the hooligan trait of trading away cargo-hold functionality for the sportier looks of an angled rear. Beyond that, they're chalk and cheese, matter and anti-matter (don't let them touch).
You might be surprised to see the Rogue (http://www.motortrend.com/cars/2008/nissan/rogue/index.html) in second spot, but here's our reasoning: If you're hankering for a comfy, competent, and commodious baby 'ute, see above. But the Rogue is a different creature entirely, a barracuda caught in a net filled with groupers. Terrific if you match its audience demographic-and Ed Loh might be its demographic: "It's like a cool Northface backpack," he enthuses. "It's not the most functional, but it has a sporty, 'look at me! I've got a snowboard on the roof' thing going. "Loh is young and single, you understand. LaPalme, young and married, isn't buying: "Is it really 'masculine-enough' looking though?" she questions. The rest of us just think it looks kind of...French. However, there's no debating its razor performance (treacherous ride quality (http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/suvs/112_0806_compact_crossover_comparison/2009_subaru_forester.html#), aside) and value (though its cost-saving interior reflects this). Basically, we like sporty things here. Even if they do look like Renaults.
You can tell a lot by reading only 3 paragraphs. The tester, Kim Reynolds, is all wrapped up in her world of flowery text, heavily laden with metaphors, similes, and miscellaneous references she feels will make her review more hip and pertinent to us.
WRONG :sign_lame:
How about that lead-in paragraph. Using text cappuccino, velvety riding, X-Games, Rolex, IBM controller are dead give away phrases this this review is going to be about my well crafted, hip phraseology, and it will be enough on its own, cleverly hiding the fact that I have little experience writing car reviews, and have a narrow view of things not in my zone.
The Rogue is a barracuda caught in a net filled with groupers.
Really, the car rides like a well mannered sedan. If you have nothing new to say, be quiet so as not to embarrass yourself with text peppered with Ed Loh bashing that belongs in Redbook.
Not that females cannot accurately review. I bet our own, EXceptional Woman, would have something relevent to write. But Ms. Reynolds is far too late to the Reviewer's Party, and forget her hostess gift. (I hate myself for writing that.)

I too found very little pertinent information in this review. There was hardly any mention of features or how the performance translates in the bunch. You find almost nothing to support how they based the rankings other than objective opinions and not facts.
