I have a '90 240sx hatch with a s13 blacktop sr. I bought a power fc because i upgraded the turbo, injectors and maf. The power fc does not get power but the stock ecu gets power and starts the car. I have searched the forums and read some articles but nothing is helping. On one thread the person said that his eccs relay was blown so he replaced it and the fc worked. He had a s14, does anyone know where it is on an s13? I checked the fuse box in the front right corner of the car and everything looks good. Any suggestions?

Do you have a pin out for the POWER FC?

If you do, then I would make sure that it matches your wiring. It might be possible that you have a slightly different variant and the ECU power is actually provided on a different pin.

I have a power FC for my s14. I could never get it to start the engine. It was recieving power, but would just crank nothing else. Some guys at the shop said that even though it was for the right engine the wiring could be different. If you figure out where to get the pinouts for FCs let me know.

Which model power fc did you buy? It needs to match the same harness as your stock ecu. You might have ordered the wrong one. Double check with the seller that you bought the correct ecu replacement. I've heard the power fc's are very picky about the wiring.

my s14 wouldnt run until I found two relays (eccs) hidden behind the stock ecu location. I unplugged one and plugged it to another connector there and the car came to life. I believe it may have to do with moving the eccs relay to the sr harness at the time of the swap.
