I believe it was white/premium (which I have on order!) and black/sport... they merged into a silver SV with no additional packages... if I remember correctly!

Here is the description!
A Winter Frost Premium and a Super Black Sport, side by side, fighting for position on a curvy mountain road. Engines growling. Each fighting for position.
The ad then takes turns focusing on each; the sophistication and comfort of the Premium vs the cockpit and performance of the Sport. Back and forth. One, then the other. Lots of nice words.
Accompanied by very siprited and lively music,("Join Together " by the legendary UK rock band, The Who) the ad then shows them merging into one glorious vehicle that is BOTH (a silver Maxima)!
****Nissan is sponsoring the track and field events of the Olympics. Most of those events start this weekend and run next week I believe. We should definately see more of this really good commercial starting this weekend!

Wow, this is really what I was hoping Nissan would do with the New Max as far as Marketing. Sport vs. Lux in one car. I was originally thinking the SL should be the Lux version, and the SE the Sport version, but they went and changed that. So now its S = Base, SV = Standard feature vehicle, SV Prem. = Luxo, and SV Sport = .......well, Sport.......................I still say they should have kept the SL and SE (Nissan HISTORY here!!) monikers, and just added S to the mix to make it easier. But whatever its still the same great car.
WOW great memory! the exhaust sound is what i was hoping for...

I haven't seen the commercial, but I saw a new Max in person yesterday when I was walking home from work, and I stopped and did a full walk around and had a grin on my face the rest of the walk home.
They're effing sexy in person.

I saw the commercial 2 or 3 times last night on cable. (It was not on the Olympics.)
Towards the end of the commercial before the black and white cars merge into a silver one, the shot from the front really make the cars look like sports cars. In fact, the camera angle was better than what the car actually looks like in person! It made me want one! Which of course is the purpose of the commercial.

This thread reminded me of the greatest car commercial I've seen:

I remember that commercial...but I didn't remember it being a Nissan...nor do I remember that Japanese guy at the end. So much for being an fanatical employee...

That's a good one yes, but this is the one that got me hooked on Nissan and the Maxima:
"TAKE US TO THE SHAREHOLDERS MEETING"
I can't find it on YouTube, but the one that did it for me was of the 6th generation cruising across a desert with dust plumes and the sound of a jet engine.
I like the video where the birds are trying to get the Maxima.
Best Maxima ever made. :)

I don't know why but, every time I see that commercial I feel like shooting a pigeon. I feel like they actually really do like crapping on our cars so that they can look as nasty as them...LoL!
I think shiny fast moving things get them so excited that they want to s**t. LoL! :26:

THIS ONE IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!! Man! I loved the 4th gen so much when it came out. I think it was the best all around Maxima out of every other generation.
