Seems I've been a member of FA for over a year now. But have been reading the forums since 2005. Loads of helpful advice on early issues with my ride. Like any original owner of the 2002-2004s had. Remember the brake pad warranty, the rear axle TSB, alignment issues? While we were the "Mavericks", truth is the Tochigi plant produces a pretty darn good car. Heck Godzilla comes off the same final assembly line.

My name tells you a little about my perspective. Don't let my current ride fool you. (I'm a little bit older, a bit wiser, and tired of several hundred clutch engage/ disengage actions per day on Chicago roads.)

My previous ones: 1997 M3 (MT) Autobahn and Autostrade driven, 1990 Ford Taurus SHO (MT) and 1986 Ford Mustang GT 5.0) And a 1995 G20 (auto) thrown in for good measure as winter car when I had the M3.

I get my fill of MT driving 1400 CC Pug 207s, VW Polos, (shooting for Renault Clio and Citroen C3 this summer) when I spend time at my vacation home - guess where. Rev matching in an 85 hp 2500 lb Front Driver on the coastal corniches to be able to keep up with Mazda MX-5 or an Audi TT provides an entertaining respite from the mighty VQ. And from the the great thirst of the VQ.

Anyone for a group trip to Tochigi? Or at least a group road trip to the Frankiln Tennessee HQ?

That's kind of you.

Good luck with your search for a good G35 sedan.
