I just purchased a new 00' Max and took
it on a long road trip only to discover that the lumbar support was stabbing me in the back for the entire trip. All adjustments failed to take the aggravating knob in the back pain away.
My 97' Max had awsome seats and the lumbar was fabulous.
Has anyone else had this prob ??
P.S. I am selling the 97' so if anyone is interested please contact me at dpbaillie@aol.com.

I haven't sat in 2000 Maxima seats for an extended period but I'd like to comment about the 4th gen seats.
I thought my 96 and 99 Maxima's seats are merely okay. They are good because they are wide but have very little lateral support. You have to bolster you knees on the door when cornering.

Oh, don't start me on this!
I can't find a new car with the seats as comfortable as the inflatable leather seats of my first gen 300zx Turbo (Z32 is the only contender, but it's not new).
DPB, do you mean that it isn't flat enough even if you adjust the lumbar support in the lowest position ??? http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif

Are you sure that you have not missed the lumbar adjustment on the inside of the of the seat?? It is located just above the arm-rest. I missed mine for months.
BTW did you know that you can run the DC plug from the back seat right into the arm rest. Great for charging your cell phone.

I had a 96 se and 98 se and a 2k se, the 2k has the best seats and the most comfortable ones out of all. Adjust the control which is located between the seats on the side of the back...that adjusts it.
