i was wondering if the weather being so cold, like 32 and below, affect the way my sr will boost? i was using a gtec last night, and my car seemed to be really slow and i saw that i was only hitting 11 and not 15. im going to check for boost leak but im at idlei have 20 to 22 vac, so im sure i don't have one but ill check. maybe my manifold is craked so ill check that to, but it ran fine wed will it was warmer. im at a loss any help is appreciated.

the colder the air is, the denser it gets so it will definitely throw your tune off especially if it was tuned at 70+ degrees.

A MAF will compensate for that.

You could still have a boost leak and pull good vacuum. Boost leaks in the charge piping are before the throttle body, you're measuring vacuum at idle after the throttle body - so completely independent.

but what if i've done a leak test and i have found no leaks between the turbo to the intake manifold, would a cracked exhaust manifold have the same affect as a boost leak, because i have been noticeing my car back fires alot more now then it did couple months ago, or how about the boost controller(wouldn't have the first clue how to check that) but this is what i did last night: un-pinched vacuum line, boost leak test replaced gast between turbo and manifold, turned the boost controller off(have 11 psi spring), sprayed carb cleaner on intake to see if the idle would raise(no). so i am stumped, only thing i haven't done is take the manifold off.
