Hey... I live in Puerto Rico and for some unexplainable reason Nissan doesn't ship manual transmission cars to the island. This really irritates me, but I'm willing to stick with Nissan if the new Sentra SE can still be fast if it has an Auto.

Does anyone know, or has anyone timed the new Sentra SE with an Automatic transmission from 0-60 or the 1/4 mile??

Pleas help me, because i'm starting to get frustrated and thinking of crossing over to Honda or Toyota, and I surelt don't want that to happen.

Thanx
Luis

Well, I guess nobody really cares about an automatic Sentra SE 2000 being fast, seems as if im the only guy looking into it.

Nobody in the FA community has ever timed the auto SE 0-60 or 1/4 mile?? Strange!

I was thinking the same thing. You might try asking Mike Jez. If I remeber right he used a G-Tech to test the 2000 Sentra SE manual a while back. He might be willing to test an automatic for you.

If I'm correct I think the sentra SE Auto goes from 0-60 in 8.8sec

Thanks a lot 2HD. 0-60 in 8.8 for an auto isnt that bad, right?? I'm comparing it to other autos in that class, like the base Celica auto , Integra auto and the likes, right??

Another thing, more or less how much would that translate to the 1/4 mile?? Think it would be below 17.0 ?

And Mike Jez, If you read this please help me. Im really interested in knowing the exact times for the Sentra SE auto for 0-60 and 1/4 mile.

What are you planning to do to the car? If you are planning simple bolt on's, you can scratch a header off your list. In past sr20de this would be your best hp boost for the money(other than a turbo or nos)

Hey, I can do the AUTO 2.0L test... just got to get the G-tech again. I think its in my car in TX... right now we don't have any AUTO 2.0L in stock, all of em are Performance package 5spds or just regular 5spd 2.0L. As for the biggest HP gain, Zbeast the biggest gain is from the cams, JWT S3s or the new upcoming S4s, S3-17HP, S4s-25HP at the wheels more.

Hey Mike!!

Thanks for replying. I would deeply appreciate it if you could do that favor for me. Don't worry about not having any in stock, I'm happy to wait, and I'm happy that you're willing to time it.

Just let me know when you time it, ok??

Thanks again,

Luis

oops I forgot about cams, although they might not be considered a simple bolt on, and might not be smooth enough for a daily driver(<could be wrong)

On older se-r's you could also advance the timing for a few free ponies. (not sure if it works with newer sr's)

Please!!! I'm going to buy the Sentra SE pretty soon and I need to know what the automatic transmission time for the 0-60 is. I read that one person recently bought the Auto Sentra SE with performance package, could you time your 0-60 with a stopwatch?

Anybody?? Please help me!! Im desperate, my decision depends on this!!
