Im looking for a new car and was wondering the differences between the 200sx se-r and the sentra se with the sr20de engine. What are the differnces other than the name and the extra doors on the sentra? Does the sentra weight alot more? either one easier for bolt ons? Im looking for the cheapest over all car that has some performance.

The main difference between the two vehicles for performance is that the SE-R has a viscous limited slip diff in its tranny. Besides that, the SE weighs less than a hundred pounds more. The rest is all visual differences.

Like said earlier, the differences are mostly cosmetic. The '95-'97 SE-R and '98 SE have a grill, while the '98 SE-R and '99 SE have a sleek "bar" piece. The '99 SE also has titanium-tinted rims, a carbon fiber look taillight insert, and other small details. You can these plainly in the SE-R.net Pics section (http://www.se-r.net/multimedia/pictures/index.html).
The '98 SE-R and '98-'99 Sentra SE both lack the limited-slip differential found on every past SE-R. The '95-'97 is going to be the cheaper, and has a tiny edge in performance. JWT does not yet offer an ECU upgrade for the '98+ SR20DE, if that is a major concern for you. Cams, intakes, etc., should be the same, though.
All in all, the '98+ SE is just a four-door SE-R.

I remember reading that the 2.0 SE is available with the LSD, The big diff about these cars is the number of doors.

You probably read that about the B15 '00 Sentra SE, which has finally got limited-slip again (in the SE Performance Package).
Nissan dropped the LSD in '98 on both the Sentra SE and 200SX SE-R. The '99 SE-Limited didn't have limited-slip, either. The only B14's that had it were the '95-'97 SE-R.
