I can live with the V6, I mean look how kick ass the I6 was/is. The price is high, but what's new. However, a joint venture with Honda!? I hope this is mostly false.

that info doesn't really make any sense. i guess they are talking about the hybrid system honda is suposetly using on the net gen nsx. why would the 3.5liter need twin turbos to make 380hp, when the na engine can at least make 300. then you have the electric engine to make 80hp, why would u even need the turbos? small supercharger would be plenty. it would also be more practical to use a v8 if we are to get a gtr, since the q and the new full size truck will be using the same v8 engine- a lot cheaper.
infiniti/nissan can't sell a car for $75g's yet, they aren't established enough as a luxury car company to command that type of price. a 394hp m5 runs $70g's.

According to the article, and as I understand it, V8's have a lot of trouble passing Japanese Emissions standards....The new system is designed with the new emissions in mind. And they're talking about the engine driving a generator which transfers the energy to the electric motors at the front wheels. Effective horsepower at the wheels would be 380.
Nissan is more than established in Japan to sell and 80 thousand dollar car. Nissan is known in Japan as quality. They don't care about releasing it to the states. They're not even going to bother.
