I have a 2000 Altima SE and I am running the stock 205/55 16" Firestone GTA's but I would like to get suggestions for a slightly wider, and lower profile tire while keeping the stock alloys. Any ideas? Anyone running something else on those rims?

Well, You can run 225/50-16 Yoko DBs if you want better grip, less road noise and keep the speedo with 1 1/2mph. Above that, the tread will start to roll as the rim is a 6-6.5". The wife has the 225 stones on hers. Came from Nissan that way, with full leather interior and etc.... I have the yoko's on mine(240sx coupe w/ mods to suspension, etc.) and she wants them on hers as they are WAY quiet.
When compared to the Fstone's, the Yoko's outperformed on all levels.
BE Carefull on the drop of hieght. IT WILL CHANGE YOUR SPEEDO READINGS...

Go with some 17's.....I put Konig Rated R rims with Bridgestone Protenza RE730 tires and they look so hot on my 2000 SE.....these are great tires and if you are considering Nitto 450 tires I think the Protenza's a much better...BTW I have 215/45/17 tires and it doesn't throw off the speedo...

Check this out, I picked this from another forum. It is a really cool calculator that tells you exactly what the change in calibration will bring.
