2002 Altima specs:
3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 with dual exhaust 240 horsepower and 246 lb-ft of torque

2002 Infiniti I35 specs:
3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 260 horsepower and 246 lb-ft of torque

Very interesting.

I asked this earlier..... Got no responses from my posts in the other forums on FreshAlloy. How can you tweak an engine to have 20 mores horses and not have it's torque affected...AT ALL? So the question is, are both engines really 260HP but the Altima is listed at 240 to save face for the I35 (and 02 Max)? Hmmmmmm.......

I'd be very inerested in seeing the torque and Hpower curves @ RPM information. I agree with you Hokie...

Come to think of it, it has more torque than my sis's NA Z 198lbs/ft. This motor has more torque than horsepower. I say it has more HP.

Exactly right! The problem with transmission durability is torque not horsepower. So software limits the torque but horsepower can be raised by any other means. These vehicle probably use the same transmission so the torque is limited to the same amount.
