Nissan quitting BTCC

In my opinion this year's British Touring Car Championship has gone boring after several manufacturers pulled out (leaving just Honda, Ford & Vauxhall/Opel). Nissan, having always been successful with a good car, even dominated the season last year with both drivers' & companies' championship titles.
Why, and what do you think?

It's unfortunate. I think there are two private teams using Primeras and they do okay but not as great as last year.

I think Nissan pulled back a lot on their Motorsports efforts in Europe withdrawing from BTCC and LeMans. I am sure they will be back once they clean house.
