For those of you who missed the broadcast, Nissan finished 1-2 in the Sports Racing Prototype II class, and an impressive 3d & 6th overall. RM

I think Nissan has to use this victory in order to advertise the technology and the reliability of the brand like Infiniti with INDY images/icons/grin.gif

actually, if you'll look down the results for the other SRPII cars, you'll notice that the only non nissan was a mazda that finished 3rd in class and 29th overall images/icons/smile.gif
the #3 and #6 overall finishes are definately noteworthy though

Any idea if the Nissan engine being used in the SR II class are from the VQ series? That engine powers most of the Nissan/Infiniti line and it would be awesome if it were adabtable for racing as well!

Im pretty sure that I heard during last years racing seaso that they where using a 3.0l V6.

It was disappointing there were no Audis or Corvettes. Without them Daytona seemed less interesting. I even liked seeing Cadillac make fools of themselves. Kudos to Nissan though and the 7th place Porsche!

I think it might be the VG30 they are using, I'm not sure..
