What's your favorite washing liquid?

My personal is Meguiars Soft Wash gel - it does a fantastic job of cleaning the exterior. It does require you to pile on the amount of soap to really make it sudsy though.

This is great noel. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum//images/icons/smile.gif Detailing site up in just one day from my suggestion. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum//images/icons/smile.gif I'm using meguiars also. Don't use too much or there will be white streaks and stubborn water spots after you wash. Only 1-2 cap fulls of the fluid is needed.

Right now I'm using Blue Coral Gel. Its pretty thick and works good. But I've got a white truck so I can't really tell the changes between different liquids.

Thanks to some great sand storms I've gotta wash it like every 20 minutes!! http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum//images/icons/tongue.gif Is there anything out there that actually helps to stop dust from collecting on the surface??

I doubt that the car wash will make much of a difference. Two 'waxes' have claimed to reduce dust on the surface. Medallion from Meguiars and a product from Zaino.
I've used Medallion on my 92 red miata and it works well - tho I cannot attest to any dust repelling qualities. I'll try it on the Xterra some time soon. See if it gets along with nissan paint. I have not tried any Zaino products but others seem to like them.

dave - what do they say about the shiny side

Noel, I noticed there isn't a moderator listed for the detailing site. Why don't you put your name on detailing site?

Good point. I've added moderators. If anyone feels like they are qualified and want to be a moderator for this section, please email me.

When applying the wax don't use too much or the dust just sicks like crazy. I'm using Zaino now and it does reduce dust to a minimal. An easy way to cut down from washing the car as much as possible is to use the quick detailer spray from Mother's or Meguiars, Zaino etc.. It helps a lot in between washes.
