Since I have a black sports g35, my question is how do I remove the fingerprints and other dirt marks that get on the car everyday without scratching the paint at all. I get the car washed weekly at a very good car wash, but since it is black it shows fingerprints and dirt very easily. Will a wet cloth wipe that stuff of without a problem? I just want to make sure that I don't leave any swirl marks when cleaning it off everyday so what do you guys think? Thanks in advance

Use a quick detailing spray, like Mothers showtime. Also try to find "Microfiber" towels at an auto parts store, these towels will not scratch the paint.

Now the drive through carwashes on the other hand, are going to eventually create swirls.

Another great quick spray product would be Meguiars Quik Detailer. It works great. I use it on my black 97 Sentra, and swear by it.

i don't like using the spray waxes for anything other than a claybar lubricant. remember, the more you touch a car, the higher chance of causing scratches. why are there fingerprints on the car anyway? the only place you need to touch is the door handle. and smaller dirt spots, you're just going to have to deal with it. wash the car on a weekly basis yourself, for the love of god not at a car wash. to get the dust off that settles on the car dialy, i use a "california car duster" that i got from griots garage, it seems to work very well.

you can ignore my advice if you like, but i own a black car as well and was a detailer for the past 5 years, so it should hold some value

All the finger prints come from the public touching such a beautiful car they've never seen before.

The Meguiars Quick Detailer Spray and Mothers Showtime are awesome products. They remove light dust and fingerprints very well, and will not remove any wax you have on the car. I've used them for years with no problems at all. Just make sure you use a CLEAN terry towel to remove product and wipe lightly.

I do agree with tnord here... get a California Duster. I have used them for many years. You will love it.

Terry Cloth towels, if not extremely plush and 100% USA cotton, will create fine scratches (swirl marks)

MicroFiber towels, will NOT scratch the paint.
