window tinting

This question is for the people that have window tinting on the windshield. How bad does the tint interfere with night driving? it seems to me that your vision would be terribly hindered. Is this true?

If you're talking about tinting the windshield ALL the way down, DON'T DO IT! First of all, it's illegal in most states. Secondly, your night time visibility will SUCK. My brother has a show car...(remember...this is the only reason it's tinted...because it's a show only car.) and the windshield is only tinted 35%. It cuts night time visibility DRASTICALLY. Most states allow windshield tinting down to the AS-1 line on the windshield. If you look along the side of the windshield on the outside on one side, there should be a little marking that says "AS-1" with a little arrow and a couple of lines. That's what they're talking about. Other than that, I don't recommend tinting farther down than that.
