One of my friends asked me if home leather sofas need cleaners or conditioners. I'm not sure if home leather sofas need any special care like car leather. Any recommendation of a specific brand to use if there is a need to condition or clean the sofa? Comments and suggestions appreciated. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif

Well, it depends on the grade of the leather, if it's a fine leather, yes maintenance is neaded. If its a medium to coarse (cheaper) leather, a damp cloth will do once a month.

The folks in one of our local stores that deals in fine leather furniture insist the only thing you should ever use to clean better grades of leather is distilled water. They tell horror stories of people who have used special cleaning products and conditioners, and have ended up discoloring items.

Lexol has some home leather furniture products. I think Connolly (sp) has it too.
