What is your dream sedan? Speak your mind here. Take parts from the different car companies and make your favorite 4 door sedan. No car company is perfect so don't say Nissan Maxima. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif Use real parts that are on cars at the present time. Choose the reliablity of a Nissan or Ford(not), handling of a M3, seats from the Skyline etc.... Lets begin. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif

I love the styling of the current Q. If i were to make my dream car, i would prefer the style of the current Q but on a stretched wheelbase, with a V12 engine and of BMW750il and the interior, suspension/handling and technology from Mercedes S500 or else i'll just take the current Q as is http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif

i'd make an Infiniti I30 with the horsepower of a Dodge Viper, all wheel drive from the Skyline GT-R, six speed manual, 18" wheels, at the price of a Sentra XE

The front would look like the 3rd gen Maxima, the back like the Skyline GTR, AWD from Audi, V8 from 2002 Q45 with twin turbo. Tasteful aerokit with touring-style spoiler, ferrari brake assembly, recaro seats, 2000 Maxima interior with added features, better materials, independent suspension, underbody metallic cover, Momo Arrows and steering wheel with paddleshift.

BTW there is a movie called "TAXI" originally in french, maybe translated in english where a taxi driver has a regular Peugeot, but at the push of a button it turns into a touring car, really crazy. I dont mind having that to drive around town either http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif

I like a car that is small, stylish, but at the same time fast and handles well: PT Cruiser body with Silvia 250hp turbo engine, suspension.

You know, I'm going to have to go against the grain on this one..... Say I already have a nice refined sports car, and the purpose of my sedan is just to tool around and carry people, then my choice doesn't need to be a european ultra-refined sports/luxury car wannabe. Everybody and their grandma has a sports sedan....Gimme the big ugly bruiser cruiser.

Check out www.kennybrown.com (http://www.kennybrown.com) under the Signature Series Panther to see what I'm thinking....

He's got the 295hp 4.6L V8 as standard equipment, but if you'd rather, he'll give you the balanced and blueprinted cobra engine (355hp) or the 5.4L V8, or even a V10 option!! And there's still the 18" wheels, Brembo brake upgrade and limited-slip diff. And for those doubters that are saying "oh I bet it handles like a boat, though" should note that his own suspension setup was touted by Car & Driver as "outhandl a Porsche Boxter."(!)

If you are in a big, four-door sedan, you can only pretend to be a true sports car....you've got four doors, for goodness sake! So, while you carry all your buddies around, why not cruise in style, cool as a cucumber, in something original, exclusive, and still hell-on-wheels fast? Not to mention while retaining the practicality of an american sedan having twice the passenger/luggage room as any european/japanese import. With rear wheel drive! and still relatively cheap!

Its not a sedan.....its a [I]cruiser... http://smilecwm.tripod.com/net/bandit.gif

i already posted, i'd like to add a message system in my rear bumper.

i (or my passenger) can type up stuff and it is displayed ex:
"your gas pedal is on the right"
"get off the road (insert swear word here)"
"how did u get your permit!?"

I thought everybody knew...I just bought a black 1997 Nissan 240SX, 25k miles...but I found out has no VSLD or ABS... http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif...I'm talking to a dealer I know personally who is looking for a duplicate WITH VSLD and ABS....I also own a 1991 240SX (until I sell it, that is)....

I used to know a guy in hich school who equipped a PA system/megaphone under his hood....he drove a big truck or something and he'd just pick up the microphone off his dash and yell at people who annoyed him when he was trying to leave the parking lot.... http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif

But, the lights would definitely be more effective at highway speeds... http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif

I live in a big city where (honest to goodness) last night I spent 35 minutes (that's a conservative estimate) driving around looking for a parking spot. I finally found a spot - in a tow zone. (Woke up - car still there - no tickets http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif )

So I'm thinking I would take a 2000 Sentra SE, put in the engine and suspension from an Acura Integra Type-R, nicer seats (the pattern on the current seat is kinda dorky), some *real* metallic radio & ventilation knobs, & carbon fiber break pads (okay i'm getting carried away). It'd have to be red, just like my current Sentra.

I once spent 1 hour looking for a spot, it was rainy and parking was free so you can imagine the crazyness

Are you sure that the cobra has that much hp, you and ford might get in trouble for a statement like that..... ha just kidding.

Didnt chevy offer a a 427 or 454 option on the impala a few years ago, I would go with either that or a euro M3 for the curves.

A perfect sedan would be much like a new M3 sedan version with seats from an F40. And considering that most driving would be done on the streets, the engine needs to have immediate response, only a NA engine can offer that. An inline-6 or a two inline 6s mated to make a V12 would be ideal for effciency and smoothness but 6 is too weak and V12 is too costly and huge(although it would fit), so a V8 it is with free flow exhaust, variable valve timing, rack and pinion steering, 6spd tranny, and lastly limited slip differential to put all that power on the pavement. But if you have a few million dollars around it wouldn't be bad to have a reverse jet propulsion kit to go from 100mph to 0 in 50 feet, although it would break your neck and mess up you intestines.

HAHA! http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif Yeah, I heard about all the disappointed Cobra owners who were 'missing' 20 hp or so...they had a recall on them and it caused a lot of bad publicity...but I think that was the Cobra R, if I'm not mistaken. Also, this is a balanced and blueprinted version of that engine, which is why it is 355hp....

ON the second part, the only changes they officially offered to the last rear-wheel drive Impala was a floor shifter in '96.....but....I still have a MT that has an article about where one of Chevy's performance/development teams crammed an 8.0 liter big block into an Impala. The results are somewhat what one might expect...It was only a hair faster in the straightline, and it was actually WORSE in every other category....evidently all the wheelspin on tap and an extra 100-150lbs in the already front heavy sedan didn't help slalom and braking times so much. They likened the experiment to something like big game hunting with an 357 Magnum: "Although it gets the job done, better overall results could be achieved with much less," (or something to that effect)....But the cool thing was, the article gave you GM's part number for the 8.0L big block crate motor (in case you wanted to see for yourself. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif

What I've also like alot recently is the Lincoln LS....they look good, they are sporty, and not everyone's got one...you could slap on a supercharger to that and a few suspension mods here and there and you'd have a real fast, classy car...

RENNtech E60 is for **********s, what you need is the Brabus EV12 7.3 V12 with 773Nm torque! you could rip a house out of the ground! by the way it also has a top speed of 330km/h.
