Here's an email I've sent three times to the dealership without getting any responses. According to their page on Infiniti's site, they've had great customer service... is that bull or what?

Dear Customer Service (Mr. Joseph Modica),

It's been ten days and I still haven't heard from you. Could you please reply quickly so I can get this matter settled? Thank you.

Dear Customer Service (Mr. Joseph Modica),

My father recently had our '99 QX4 serviced by your dealership on 7/26/00. Afterwards, we left for a trip and returned on 8/22/00. I'm currently in Pittsburgh and in the past week, I noticed that my brakes have been making a loud screeching noise, as if the brak pads had worn off and metal is now contacting metal. I've never had this problem until recently.

I thought my brake pads had worn out, but when I found the invoice in my car, I took a look and it stated that the front brake pads had been replaced and the front rotors cut. As of now I'm not sure what is going on with the brake pads which is why I am writing this email.

Do I need time to break in the brake pads?
Are the recently installed brake pads defective?
Is there still brake dust in the surrounding area?

My friends have assured me that this is normal because of brake dust. But it seems that it takes longer these days for the car to come to a complete stop, so I'm not too comfortable driving the QX4 back to New York in this current situation. Should I get a nearby dealership (there is one 20 min. away in Monroeville) to take a look? And if yes will I be billed?

Thank you,
Darren Wai-Loon Chan

Ask for the Service Manager at Kings Infiniti.
He should be able to take care of you. The Svc Mgr is a good guy and I'm his "competition" so try to get in touch with the service manager at Kings, if you don't have any luck then PM me and I'll call him for you and let's see if we can't get you taken care of.
If you are under warranty, goto your local dealer and they should be able to take care of you.
If you still don't get satisfaction call Infiniti Consumer Affairs at (800) 662-6200 and go up the ladder to a supervisor and you will get satisfaction.
Good luck and best wishes!!! http://forums.freshalloy.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif
