Protege to get 2.0L engine for 2001

I read at 2001 model preview at www.carpoint.com (http://www.carpoint.com)

Following the path of sentra, protege will have 130hp 2.0L engine option. The output is kind of low but the problem is now that Protege and 626 share the same 4-cyl engine and platform, who would buy 626 which costs much more?

According to me, a family with a greater need for space (and less for performance) would get the 4-cyl 626.

It's really good; weaker engine was one of the few complaints with the Protege that is one of the best cars in its segment.
