The New Ad Campaigns are great they're part of what got me so interested in Nissan(especially the Maxima ones). The best part about these commercials has to be the music. But have you ever thought maybe if they made the car do this or added that song to that, it would be really cool. I have some great Ideas and know some great songs that would be perfect to use in the ads. I was just wondering if anybody else has thought about it. If so please post! http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif

What are your ideas? Word is that some Nissan marketing executives do read FreshAlloy.com and I am sure they'd like to hear what you have to say!

When I first learned that Nissan was gonna re-introduce the z-car, I thought of a great ad idea. At least I think its great. Let me see if I can get it accross to ya'll. I have this picture of an arial shot of 7 cars racing across a salt flat in a single file line traveling at what seems to be some exhorbatant(sp.?) speed. The next scene pans down to the ground and you see the last car in this line and it is a 240z of course. The scene moves onto the next car which is a 260 the next a 280 and so on up until the last car which is the new Z. Of course all along the way they could be saying some little tidbit about each car or they could say nothing at all it really wouldn't matter. Then when they reach the new z it could accelerate ahead and they could say something like "the legend lives on" or some corny thing like that. Anyhow I hope you were able to get the basis of my idea. I think its pretty cool. You can't go wrong with cars racing along on a salt flat throwing dust everywhere. It just looks awesome! (ie the latest maxima ads).

That's a pretty good idea. And the commercial actually would fit in with the car itself, unlike those "I'm too sexy" Camry ads. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/shocked.gif

This is my Idea for a good commercial for the new Sentra.

Front grill shot from a bumper suspended camera, open airbox mod and a nice 30 second pull accross some salt flats or somthing. Then just a profile shot of the car proclaiming "Driven" at the top.

That would get my attention http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif

When the new Z comes out they should revive the old remote control car commercial and have the old Z drive into a body shop and come out as the new Z. They could play the old Van Halen for the old car and then have Moby or Fatboy Slim remix some newerv Van Halen when the new Z rolls out and Takes off through the house.

WOW! That's a great idea you got their...maybe it would be even better if they would show all the different generation Z-cars as you said, and then at the end use some type of graphics software to make all the z-cars fade into one another until they reach the end where the new Z fills the screen and engine noise gets louder and then you hear the statement "The legend lives on..." (a light British accent would also be nice for the narrator)

i really love that idea 67PATROL!
that would send shockwaves through my whole body!

but, i would replace the salt flats with something different, perhaps a race track, or a 6-lane hiway

reason being the salt flats have been overdone

I got it, tell me if this is good:

A black original 240Z racing through a pitch dark dersert kicking up dust and engin noise.

Lighting stricks and the car evolves into a black 280Z makeing even more reves.

Once again lighting strikes and it evolves into a 300ZX.

Then finally it evolves into the all-new 350Z.

A narrator with a British accent will introduce each one by year and hp. rateing. And introduces the New Z as the most powerfull and revolutionary Z ever. Followed by a black screen with the Z car logo and "Art in Motion" at the bottom.

All of it's great except the last part...Nissan needs company recognition, people know what a "MAXIMA" is they know what a "240ZX" is but they don't know what a "NISSAN" is...therefore the end shouldn't be the Z logo but rather the Nissan logo...and maybe a cropped Z logo below it and then the phrase 'Art in Motion...' other than that you're idea is great...now only if Nissan were to actually transfere this stuff to their media and advertising department..

Well, I was rummaging (sp?) through some old CD's that I had and I came across a remix CD that's quite old and as I was going through the tracks I came across track 10, and a great commercial idea came to mind...I'll try my best to express this idea to everyone...here it goes

Imagine a beach side location, possibly a location with a light-house somewhere in Maine, Canada, or even England somewhere where it's almost always cloudy, and then you hear the sound of the ocean and then the narrator says "What is ultimate performance?" and then he says phrases (as the sound of the ocean fades in and out of the background) "A powerful engine...?", "A firm suspension...?" and then all of a sudden you get a close up picture of an unidentifiable object, it keeps going up and down up and down and as the camera zooms out you notice that it's the spring in the front right wheel of the car it zooms out enough until it goes out of the rim and you see it spinning really fast, all of a sudden there's a quick 360 degree angle camera turn around the car revealing the front side-profile and rear. And then it changes scenes and you see it manuevering through curvy asphalt roads and as it passes by you hear the engine roaring! and the car speeds of and the camera does an upside down twist also 360 degrees and the narrator says "Introducing the new powerful Infiniti G35..." and the song fades out...

Now for the technical info. if Nissan/Infiniti really decided to use my idea as a commercial they need to follow these directions to find the song that I am talking about:

CD Title: SNAP! ATTACK The Best Of Snap! Remixes and All
Record Company: ARISTA
Copyright: 1997 Anzilotti and Munzing
Track: 10
Track Name: COLOUR OF LOVE (BOILERHOUSE CLUBE MIX)
Time: From 0:01-0:17 then cut out 0:18-0:48 and then connect 0:49-1:17

There is not much remixing needed as this CD is remixed itself...

P.S. If you're not lazy, you'll go out to Tower Records and check this CD out this song is totally the bomb...I can't explain it but it has a bit of techno in and and a great beat...get the song or download it from Napster and then read what I wrote again...I promise it's a totally different experience.

Add in the image of dust being kicked up from the previous car over each of the trailing cars until you get to the lead car, the 350Z, and it works for me.

i also like the idea of a Morphing Z
and each Z would look like its going faster than the previous and finally the 350 would take off into the horizon

we then see a 5 second still picture of the Z with somekind of music from Gladiator (something grandiose like that)
