It looks kinda weird with the pointy headlights, but I'm sure it will probably top the Lincoln Navigator. From what I've heard, this time the Escalade will be a true Cadillac with 325 hp V8, Stabilitrak, xenons, and some other Cadillac gizmos. Seeing how the new Yukon/Tahoe already performs better than the Expedition, it should be a pretty good SUV, and a better buy than the LX470/Land Cruiser.
I forgot to mention it will have a 345hp 6-liter Vortec V8 and it will come out Jan 3 and the base price will be $46,225.

Oh God...I think it might be even more ugly than the current one! The Yukon is nice, so why would anyone want a tacky version for more money?

Chuck, I AGREE!!

The Cadillac grille looks so tacky on Yukon/Tahoe body style. Yet another ugly vehicle produced by GM.
So what do you guys think? It looks like it has a little QX4 in it from the side.

Auto.com says that the Infiniti based Skyline sports coupe has been scratched. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif But I think that the Evoq is gorgeous! I love that thing. Its powerful and has got some sleek lines and angles.

I think you mean autonews.com. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif While a Skyline based Infiniti may gone, I wouldn't rule out an Z/XVL based sports coupe.

Back to the original topic here http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif The front end looks distinctive, but the rest are just Yukon twins. Kinda like the LX470-Landcruiser.

Yes, I'll try to stay on topic. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif I really don't care for the "new" Cadillac design theme. This Escalade design looks just plain stupid, imo. The relatively smooth body design mixed with a hard edge face just doesn't flow well. And the grille seems out of place, it doesn't really match up with the headlights. Overall, "Doesn't quite match up" describes the new Escalade. But that's only my opinion.

I like the front but hate the side because its rounder andhas curves while he front and the rear is all angular. It doesnt match up, as mike said. The interior hasn't been changed at all and if it has it is (or still)the ugliest or one of the ugliest ones I have seen.
This is not with the topic, but what does IMO mean?

The power of &. The fusion of tacky design and overblown technology.

I think all of the caddy's coming out in the future are pretty ugly; I don't see how they will appeal to old people. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/confused.gif

Cadillac is a US "trend-setter"
they are imposing their edge design with all these weird cars (evoq, imaj...)
people WILL like them just because a car company told them it's nice...

And GM wonders why it's losing market share? This is definitely on the escalator to hell!

I think it looks like a beast a wildebeest that is.I think Cadillac should call all of their designers together and fire the whole lot of them.
I can't see that either their elderly customers or the younger ones that they wish to attract will like it.Who knows I could be wrong the american public has bought uglier things.

I don't know, I don't think that it looks too bad. The people who already have the older ones will definately like it b/c it does not look as much like the Yukon, but they should have given the side of it more of a different look than the Yukon.

I think the entire idea of a Luxury SUV is just dumb. What dies S.U.V short for? "SPORT Utility Vehicle" There is no sport in this Escalade (engine excluded). Actually I will defend Caddy a bit and say it is still a hell alot better looking than the damn Lincoln Navigator! That Navigator is the most offensive looking thing on the road!!! No class...
I feel the Escalade has a bit more class over the Nav... But again why do these vehicles exist again? And What does S.U.V stand for again?? http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/confused.gif

The public didn't react favorably to the Pontiac Aztek which is good because that means we don't have to see those ugly things on the road. Hopefully it will be the same story for the Escalator to Hell.
