I reckon the 5 best looking sedans ever are:
(not in any particular order)
Eunos 500
N14 Nissan Bluebird
Toyota Ceres/Sprinter Marino
Autozam Clef
Y32 Nissan Leopard
What does everyone else think?

Audi A4, S4

Audi ur S4 ('92-'94)
BMW E36 M3 4 door

Hmmm, tough choices here, I will agree however, the A4 and A8 from Audi are on my list. I would next say the E36 from BMW (one of my all time favorites) and the up and coming/current M-Benz C class. The European S6 is a good one as well.

The A8? I think the A8 is more bland than a Kia with sticker on it that says "Super blandness". Theres nothing to it design. There are no lines, creases, add ons like sills or anything that could possibly make it distinctive from a piece of plain paper. Sorry, but thats my opinion and not yours and thats fine. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif

The A8 is not suppose to look like a boy racer, and I hope it never does. It's lines are clean and simple, but never boring. It's all about class in that market and the A8 defines it. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif

hey i like the A8 because it's got a very clean design, sure, but it's the last car left from the generation of the early 90's, which had similar striaght shapes.
but whenever i see the A8, i think of a 1989-1994 maxima, those were really nice to look at.

Cars like the Audi A8 and 7-series are timeless thats why the design is soo nice. Cars in that price range cannot afford to have risque styling. Cars like the Celica are NOT timeless, its really nice but in 10 years, believe me people will be going: "what was toyota thinking!"

I simply used side sills as an example to distinguish styling from others. To call it a timeliss design is a stretch, as is with the 7 series. The two things I really like about the 7's looks are its wheel flares and the crease that goes from the nose through the door handles to the rear. As for the A8, I only like the 18'inchoptional wheels. To me, that doesnt make a design timeless. The 7 is way to boxy and the A8 is way too...well, way to A8ish.

what on earth... no m5, anywhere in this thread?? ::shakes head::
wrt a8: understated elegance is what it's all about. if you've just spent $90k on a car, you don't need it to shout "look at me! i stand out! look at me!" no, it is an infinitely more elegant vehicle as is. and if you think it's ugly... then that would make it one hell of a sleeper http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif

I think the previous 2 generations (not the current one) of the Mazda Astina were the two best looking small sedans ever made--so far.

The Astina was a 5 door hatch, or do you mean the Astina Hardtop (Lantis)?
