my brother just purchased a '02 max se for less than invoice and got a good trade in value for the car traded in
whne we picked up the car it didnt have the sunroof deflector or front mudguards as promised
the sales lied and said that they were options not accessories that we didnt order
plus they lied that saying it wasnt even accessories availabe for the max even though it shows on the nissan website and brochure
he said they are "infallible"
but we had on the sales contract
deflector 4 mudguards and floormats written on it
luckily we still had the title of the trade in cuz they were too stupid to ask for it
so we held on to it and decided to call the 800 number for nissan
nissan said they will handle it and call the dealer
they did and we are getting the deflector..the nissan lady wasnt sure they were options for front mudguards but she called today and said they were and that she will contact the nissan dealer
watch out..make sure you get everything you asked for in writing on the contract
watch out for

You let no one take advantage of you. What the hell are you talking about? First of all, Maxima's at one point only offered rear splash guards. And wasn't the car for your brother. They probably told you what you need to hear, b/c you sound like a real know it all to me."c-lawyer" Stop being a little baby, pay sticker Mr. Success and by an Infiniti. If it's in your budget, **********.

Both of you need to calm down...and toehz, noel is right, don't make it personal...WPS just wanted to warn us about those greedy, lying biatch ass salesmen, that's all, why did you have to start a pointless arguement? Unless you are of those salesmen... images/icons/blush.gif

How was your brother able to buy the 2002 Maxima below invoice. In my area, dealers are barely going below sticker. Carsdirect.com gave the best price and that is about $900 over invoice. Do you have any tips for me to get them to bend more? Thanks in advance. By the way, I agree with you, its the principle of delivering what you promise.

well from what i understand nissan was offering somekind of incentive/rebate to the dealer for selling so they are actually still making money by selling under invoice
whether nissan is still offering these incentives to the dealer im not sure
i just checked carsdirect.com for my area and it says 300 over invoice. i got 400 under invoice. i assume the area you live in affects the price as well.
also the dealer i purchased from claimed they are a "high volume" dealership which gives them more room to negotiate. maybe you should try to find a bigger dealership even one that might be quite a drive away.
good luck

I Agree With you (wps) if it was on the contract
then they should give you the parts!! the dealer would make you pay if it said it was on the contract you signed!!! the dealer always tries to screw you!!!

WPS...I think that you were luckyt to get the car at invoice. But think of the dealers spot...they prolly lost 1000's of dollors just on your brothers deal alone. HOw do you know that you got the car at cost anyway? Do you sell them?
If not what do you do for a living?

With the rebate to dealer it is certainly possible to get a Max below invoice. Volume doesn't have anything to do with anything. We all make the same money on the back end - notions of zillions of dollars of back-end incentives notwithstanding.

Mud Gaurds??? Are you going to drive you max off road?? The wind deflectors are a 2.00 piece of crap.. you lucky you didn't get them. And since you put down your last 20 dollars on the car I bet
you paid in Finace.. Invoice means nada amigo.

we are not out to rob salespeople out of commisions, but when we say we get it at invoice, we arent saying it because we think we got over on a dealer.
we are saying it because we got it lower than others and saved a good sum of money.
