I thought I would rate the different dealerships on customer service during the buying\browsing phrase from the experiences I have had.
7.5 Toyota (courteous, don't talk badly about the competion, don't always follow up on requests though)
7.5 Audi
7.0 Jeep (you have to play hardball when buying)
7.0 Nissan (pretty typical car salesmen for the most part)
7.0 Pontiac
7.0 Oldsmobile
7.0 Mazda
6.5 Chrysler (slow, I had to go inside after waiting 10 minutes, and then the salesman made me wait for everything after that)
Dealership service is changing with Toyota and Saturn and others in improving relations with customers and how they do business. Maybe eventually many dealerships will be low pressure, honest, no haggle dealerships that stop playing games with the customer.
