now that's a Toyota with style
if they can make the prototype as nice as that sketch, it will be a really gorgeous car!

Can you tell us more of this car? Is it going to be availble to the U.S.?
What will it replace if it is?
What size class is this? Avalon size etc?
RWD or FWD?
I like the style of this car alot. Thanks for posting....

The limited info I know about this car is that it slots between the IS300 and the Camry. It is supposed to have performance that is the same or better than the IS300, but with more room and luxury.

It has the Adolf Hitler moustache grill like the Elantra which I'm not a big fan of.

I agree it does look like a last gen Sonata or somthing. I think they wanted it to look like a alfa but it leans more towards Hyundai.

Does indeed look like a Hyundai... A big Elantra with some Sonata/XG300 cues (front facia, rear fender and tail lamp composition)...

I agree now too on the Hyundai (sp?) thing. I still think it is a great looking car, but very Hyundai-ish.

None of you see any Alfa or Pininfarina influence in this pic?

the fender lines look like a Tiburon's. the headlights look a little odd and the grille looks wannabe Bentley. i don't like it that much, but then again it's just a drawing

So Toyota is now going to be copying Alfa Romeo too? I think it's shameful enough that their luxury division Lexus, blatently copies Mercedes Benz's style.

If you think about it, this is what Japanese auto manufacturers do, and have been doing for years. Giving consumers affordable knockoffs of other more expensive/exclusive cars. This is nothing new at all. And most are good at it, and in some cases, their result is better than what they are copying.
I say keep it up Japanese auto maufacturers, bring me my well made, affordable cars...

Good car, but not-so-good front fascia. Juat a bad look from the front! Something more aerodynamic please? This car also needs six or seven spoke alloys.

Am I looking at a different picture because I just don't see what most of the top posters are talking about...a "Beautiful" car? I won't really go into that because appearance is subjective, but I must say I don't think this is such a glorious creation...just a sketch for one, pluse it does have a low-scale Hyundai type look to it. The doors are completely plain, and it just seems to be trying too hard...looks more like a Hyundai to me not a Toyota/Lexus at all...I mean Toyota's styling is usually either a knock-off or bland but this...it's a totally different story.
Let the flaming begin...lol http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif
I think this car sux...

It looks a lot like the old Dodge Avenger. Overall, I'd say thumbs down. Kinda looks like Godzilla picked the thing up and broke it in half.

good post, Jochi.
Here are some photos.
Sorry, but I think Toyota has a long way to go to match Alfa Romeo in term of design...

I will say that it looks better than any Toyota automobile on the road today. Toyota should have made the 2002 Camry this car.

OMG, that really is a beautiful car, but like I said in another post: "the fact that Toyota made it, makes me want to hate it." :P Oh well, I guess I'll just switch brands...
