B E A U T I F U L !

These automobiles are a work of art. So clean, elegant and sporting all the same time. If they drive as good as they look, they are bound for sccess if brought to the USA.

Thanks for making every other car appear pale in comparison.... http://66.96.198.147/forum/images/icons/smile.gif

The front is ugly and the rear of the Sedan looks like a Camry but it has a nice side view though. Anywayz I've seen better on U.S. shores.

I wish I had an automotive company I'd take the world by storm http://66.96.198.147/forum/images/icons/smile.gif

i think the rear door handles are located like where the door handles for the pathfinder are.. they're just hidden better.

Alfa has always been one of my favorite car brands. . .anyone know why they stopped selling in the US? Was it sagging sales or something political within the organization?

These new models are beautiful! I'll take one thanks.

The reason we don't get those cars here (as much as I'd like them here) is because Alfa Romeo and it's parent Fiat don't sell cars here (if you don't count Ferrari).

Alfa's sold very poorly in the US. They had a bad reputation for spotty quality and their dealer network wasn't the greatest. Fiat has since fixed that. They'll be returning in just a few years (unfortunately, with the help of GM).

The next Spider's coming as well as the replacement for the 156 and 166.

I would love to have an Alfa, cuz they are really cool and sporty. One of my aunts had a red 1300cc little Alfa Romea hatch back and it rocked.

The Alfa Romeo 156 is better appreciated in person. Pictures does not do it justice. I've had an oppurtunity to test drive the 156 Selespeed. Now, that was the best handling FWD sedan I've even been in. The sales person was doing 4 wheel drifts on city street while under power. The selespeed tranny is also sweet. It's a true manual transmission gearbox with a computer acutated hydraulic clutch. The gear selecter is a simple +/-, so driving this thing makes it feel like you are driving a F1 car. Very impressive.

These photos do not justice at all...for me. Meaning these are beautiful, they make me want one, and I can't have one, unless I kidnap one and bring it over here...

I have heard GM is going to help these sell over here. Can we have more info on this?
Is it only the spyder that is coming over? We need all of these cars. We need to class-up our roads over here with these.

GM can drop all of their pretnders and sell all of these contenders! Then you may see me at least walk into a GM dealership...

yeah, yeah, everything looks like something else...yadda, yadda, yadda...

I agree it resembles a Camry to a dregree in the rear, but come on...the Camry is chicken feed to this elegant dish! Open your eyes man and appretiate real beauty...

That was wrong. How do you compare suh a beautiful car to a camry?

2HD
06-09-2001, 03:36 PM
First of all beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Just because I don't believe this car is "God" like the rest of you doesn't mean I'm wrong or right. It's just my opinion.

I'm not going to deny that this car isn't elegant and unique because it is, but it really doesn't do any thing for me.

The front end doesn't have any expression at all, besides looking aggressive it looks ugly at the most. The rear could be more alaborate besides to little strips going across which brings the thought of Camry to mind but probably were on this car first because it looks dated too.

This is just my opinion ain't nothing I'm saying law. http://66.96.198.147/forum/images/icons/smile.gif

I've found that modern cars (in the past ten years, give or take) don't photograph well. I remember the Lincoln Mark VIII being rather bland in pictures, but stunning in person. I don't know if it's the rounded, subtle detail lines that a photograph misses or what it is...but truly beautiful cars haven't photographed will in years.

Nothing gets the point across better.

I think Alfas are fugly(whats with that front end??) I think most Euro cars are fugly. Thats why I drive Jap cars.
But poor Alfa, teaming up with GM? Dont know if thats sound business practice...
Anyways, to each their own.

If you think Alfa is ugly what about those Integra owners who put on that front end with the triangle grill? That front end is basically a copy of the Alfa Romeo GTV/Spider.

I have always loved the front end of these cars and hated the rears. And their interiors suck as well. Over all if they come to America they'll do about as good as Dawoo.

My two cents.

If GM has any say in it, they will do worse than Deawoo..
Cheapen the material used for finish and drop the technology to minimal. And spout about how we can own a true sport epic with the trusted name(I need help HERE, to keep from laughing) of GM.
