Apparently someone who can’t afford a BMW is bashing it out of jealousy. Anyone who makes a web page about it really has problems, I’m sure you can find a web site like this for every car, there are a lot of angry, disturbed people out there.

Edit: As I read on I find this guy has a new M3 and is complaining; first I ask why did you buy it if you hate it? Next, why don’t you give it back and get some money? Third I would gladly take it off your hands if it doesn't suit you for commuting and sitting in traffic. Just because a guy had a bad experience with a dealer he is taking it out on the car. Everyone has a bad experience at a dealer but they don’t go home and make a web page about how much they hate that car company. Just because I had a bad experience at a Toyota dealer doesn't mean I wont buy a Toyota? And finally he nags like an incessant shrew about rattles, the SR-71 black bird leaked fuel like crazy on the ground, fuel that cost more per quart than the finest Scottish whiskey, but the military still used it and today it is one of the most memorable planes to ever fly. My point? If this guy wants a trouble free car than he should have bought a Camry and come out $40,000 dollars ahead.

i was expecting more since there is a whole web page devoted to the problems. i would probably be a lil annoyed if something broke on my new 50,000 dollar car too, but that sometimes happens with evry car maker including lexus. i know one of his complaints- rough idle- is part of the engine design so it warms up quicker. the rpms surge up n down, my nissan even does that on cold days. there isn't enough there to sway my opinions about bmw, maybe wait a little longer till some minor bugs are work outta the m3.

well if you can afford to drive M3 or M5, you probably can afford the high maintainence and other things. And dont forget the snob appeal and prestige. Don't forget all the attraction. Well nothing is perfect in this world. And neither are BMWs..

Why doesn't he just sell it if he has all these problems. Doesn't the guy know that because there is a 2 year waiting list on the car that he can easily sell it for 5 or even 10 thousand more than what its worth?

Not always so...

Alot of people go out on a financial limb to drive their car of choice and are so far in debt, they cannot actually afford the high maintanance cost of their high dollar car.. And if they can afford it, who WANTS to. I am sorry, a car costing over 30 grand should be as trouble free as possible. Otherwise, why in the hell does it cost so much? Paying for name? Sometimes so.

I know a woman who had a mid 90's model 3 series and she averaged over 2k a year in UNscheduled maintanance costs...too unreal. She got rid of the car when the radiator ran into problems and was estimated at 5K to fix! She should have started her own "IhateBMW.com" website.

I never owned one, but if I did and spent over 30K on it (not to mention 50K) and had all these probelems, I would become BMW's worst nightmare....

Consumers need to take a stand and not be so giving. These huge corporations are out solely for profit and care nothing about you no matter what they say or state in their ads. They exist only for themselves.

If this guy is mad enough to create his own web page about how he hates BMW...more power to him!

BMW isn't a value commuter car, but that’s what people treat it like. They get mad when it can't accommodate 2 hrs of morning traffic or getting the team to soccer practice. That's why it’s called the Ultimate DRIVING machine, and that’s why the M3 has 333hp from a N/A I-6. I seriously doubt this guy who made the web page spends much time on back roads or is out at the track every weekend, he is probably a guy who bought the M3 because he could afford it and now complains that it wasn't a good value, but what sports car is? They are built for the sensation of speed and handling, not for running errands. I will say it again and direct this to anyone unsatisfied with their BMW's commuter abilities... buy a Camry, and if you need to have the little badge to elevate your ego above everyone else, buy a Lexus.

What...are you all anti-BMW? I own a BMW as I might have mentioned before and it's not even new it's a pre-owned '96 328i and the car drives like a dream. It has features that are not even offered on the 2001 Maxima. My only problem is that I have a manumatic, BIG MiSTAKE i should have gotten stick. The wanna-be manual version doesn't let you red-line for crap, it shifts for you after a few secs thinking that you forgot to shift. Other than that the car is great, no woodtrim no fancy stuff but standard Harman-Kardon 11 speaker CD changer, dual climate-control, unfortunatly it's got 15inch alloys I can't afford aftermarket rims and my parents won't pay for 'em. http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif Anywayz it's got great front/rear weight balance, therefore it can corner very well even without eibach's. The I-6 delivers tons of speed, the highest I've gotten this car to go as is 132mph dunno if it's government regulated or if that is it's actual top speed, I'm guessing it's regulated cause I've heard of people that have changed the computer-box and gotten the car to go A LOT higher than what I got. Bavarian has some great computer-box upgrades...Anywayz just my '02, I've never had a problem yet, the car is great and especially with the way I treat it you'd be amazed at how it doesn't give problems. The BMW dealership in B.H. and Glendale has great service and a serene environment I've never been treated badly and I've always enjoyed looking at the tropical fish while I waited... http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif

You have a point there, but Image counts for something too doesnt it? Not everyone is as rational as you and I. If common sense was common.....
