OK here's the deal: I got a new clutch put in my 97 Max about 11 months ago at a Nissan dealership. Now when I let off the clutch the whole car kinda shakes, I know it's something with the clutch. My problem is that I am about 400 miles out of the 12/12 warranty they provided. I am concerned the dealer is going to tell me "tough ****", but I am not having that. Has anyone had an experience wheere they were just out of the warranty? Did they fix it free or what? I need advice and suggestions here.

They could get out of fixing for you by saying that something else falied. Normally this is not true. If you are out of the 12/12 warranty, I would go in and to the service advisor who wrote the orignal repair, (if he still works there- if he dosen't go to the service manager.) Explain to them the situation and if you are real close to warranty they MIGHT just fix it for you. It depends on the shop and the service manager. If right away they don'y seem to to want to do anyhting to help. Don't get mad. That just ticks them, and then you will get nothing. Offer to split the bill with you or something like that. If they want to keep your business they go for something like that. Once agin this is all depending on the people you talk to. and varies with every dealership. also one tip if they look like they are real busy come back later so they wont't just blow you off.
hope something here helps you!
