Since we're on the recall trail today, just thought I'd mention the Cryco recall. The cars are Intrepid, Concorde, 300M, LHS, Grand Cherokee. [Basically every Chrysler product] It effects 204,000 cars!!!!

"Engineered to be great cars" aahahahahahahahahahahh!!! That's a good one!

Come on!

My pretty early built 300zx (number 2355) haven't had many recalls, but it had its share of crap. Next year had a lot of improvements.

So, don't ********** too much about someon else's reliability - it happens to the best of us too.

I guess the main reason I ********** is because I went through one hell of a time with a Le Barron [sp?]. I didn't really have it for long, but I'll just say that 23 of 24 hours of it's life were spent in the service station... One time my mother was driving it on the freeway with my sister and all power cut out. The steering froze and she couldn't turn the car an inch. Thankfully, a kind motorist push the car over out of the middle of the speeding traffic before a friggin' semi truck hit them! Thats only one of that damn cars' problems!

So I do have a reason to ********** about Chrysler crap!

It's from Crapsler, what else do you expect? http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum//images/icons/grin.gif

Don't start me on that ...

If I'll start remembering all problems with 3 cars I've owned so far (Buick, Camry and 300zx) and how much it has cost me, my keyboard will have a short circuit from the tears I'll shed on it http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum//images/icons/grin.gif

As for recalls, the worst thing is that they are going to recall only something that makes the damn car unsafe. All the other things, such as rattling interior, GCFs (General Car Failure, as Bill Gate$ would diagnose that http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum//images/icons/wink.gif) are your problem after the warranty expires.

And no one can deny that the quality has drastically improved among all the manufacturers, including Chrysler.

Nismo, I agree about balancing personal experience with statistics, even though both can be obsolete and inadequate. Toyota and Nissan are probably 2 of 3 of the most reliable brands today. Mid-eighties cars from these brands had electrical problems; plus Toyota had a lot of bad head gaskets.

Who remembers it now ? I don't think there is much corellation in reliability between cars 2 generations apart.

As for the Oldsmobile cars, read http://www.edmund.com/edweb/longterm/98Oldsmobile.Intrigue.lt.html http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum//images/icons/frown.gif http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum//images/icons/frown.gif http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum//images/icons/frown.gif
