I agree 100%! Besides a true enthusiast goes RWD.FWD was designed with compromise in mind from the start.

Like I have said many times before, the multi-link beam suspension is the best way to go in my opinion... it's quieter, cheaper, and takes up less space... and you people who think that it is a solid beam, let me show you the pic... it is a two piece that slides and twist on top of each other... you will notice that there is a sliding link and a central twisting link...

Dr. Tae,

I'm disappointed... How can anyone mistaken the lateral link that is a modified Watt's linkage which is used for locating the suspension from left to right as the twist beam portion.

The original discussion is still valid that the multi-link beam utilizes a u-channel/shaped rear beam that twist under cornering load and doubles as an anti-roll bar. The modified Watt's linkage is only used for locating the rear beam relative to the chassis. It has nothing to do with the twist of the beam. It's function is to only allow the bar to move in a vertical direction relative to the chassis and not sideways...

It's two separate pieces that makes up the Multi-link portion of the Multi-link beam suspension...
