I was just wondering, for rear deck use on a 2000 Sentra, what are the 6.5 speakers that give the most bass? I don't really care about treble, that's what front speakers are for.

Depends on your budget, but I'd be inclined to recommend looking at some Boston Accoustic Coaxials. If you're on a budget check out what Pioneer has to offer. I have not listened to coaxials from either company for quite some time, but those would have been my top picks for respective budgets.

A budget of around 100$ (or less if possible).

Well, I have not heard these, but I would take a look at the Polk Audio EX602a 6-1/2" coaxial. I have heard other EX line Polks and they're good for the money, IMO. These run about $90-$100 a pair.

Next would be the Pioneer TSA1665 6-1/2" coaxial. This one runs about $90-$100 also for the pair. Can't say I've heard this specific model either, but other Pioneer 6-1/2's I have heard were quite capable.

Now, if you could spend just a little more, the Boston Accoustic RX67 would be a nice choice. It runs about $150 for the pair and is worth it if you can spend the extra bit. in general, the Bostons will probably give you a more natural and warmer sound than the Polk or the Pioneer. I have RX series 6x9's in my Xterra and am quite pleased with them (and I usually don't say that about 6x9's!).

Remember that everyone has different hearing and that you need to listen before you jump. I'm just throwing numbers out for a few options I would recommend listening to. Then, you can decide what you like.

I would definitely take a look at the Polk EX's, if I were you. I just bought a pair of EX502a 5.25's and a pair of EX602a 6.5's. These speakers sound very good (and I dont have an amp, by the way) and have good bass. Shop around and find the ones you like. The Pioneer's that ChuckH mentioned are good, but I still preferred the EX's. Also, if you are willing to spend the money on an amp, you might like the Polk DX6's. These speakers run for $102 (I think) a pair at http://www.importpartsplus.com, amd that price is $47 bucks cheaper than at a store like Best Buy. Hope you find a pair you like!

Zbov82, do u have a sub?

how much base do you get out of your system, is it clean and tight or does it force to go deep?

don't get 2-ways for the rear deck!!!

get some midbasses, if you put 2/3-ways in the rear deck, it'll pull your front stage behind you, you will have to fade up so much that the rear speaker won't be pumping much at all.

get a good comp set u front, and mids for the rear.

just my 2¢

I have a 10in JBL sub running 360 watts off my Amp. sometimes when I crank up the sub volume the sub gives off somekinda of weird shakey rattle. it sounds really nasty, but I have a friend look at it he said it was the box the sub was in. But the box is a brand new Q-Logic box so it shouldn't come apart. But I resealed it anyways and it still makes that noise can you help please? And Have engine noise coming form the speakers can you help cure that too?
