I currently have an alpine cda-7873 deck with mb quart 6x9's and 5 1/4's. I was considering a 4 channel amp from alpine either in 90x4 or 50x4. I know there is no way my speakers could handle the whole 90 watts or even the 50 watts (dont want to try to blow them out), so i will probably have to turn the gains down if I bought one of these amps. My question to all of you is which one should I get???

I'm not too familiar with the MB Quart line and not knowing which models you have doesn't help much, but I can tell you this:
You are more likely to blow your speakers from underpowering them than overpowering them. Ideally, your amplifier will have an RMS output that is the same or a little more than the RMS rating of your speakers. This applies to mids and tweets, but not subs. With subs you want to keep the amplifier RMS the same or less than the RMS of the speaker.
That being said, it sounds like all four of your speakers are coaxial, which means they are probably not built for high power. If that's the case then the 50x4 amplifier would probably be ideal.
If you have coaxial speakers and 50 watts per channel, that 15" woofer is going to drown them out and you will have a poorly balanced (read; bass heavy)system.
