I've just bought a brand new Micra and want to replace the speakers mounted in the driver and passenger doors, but there are a few areas I need help with as I'm new to car audio. Firstly what size are the speakers?, Secondly the guy I spoke to in my local car audio store said that normally Micra speakers have some circuit board type thing behind them to make them shallow, and therefore hard to replace. Whats he on about and is this true? Finally, how do I remove my door panels http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif

...for the size of your speakers, just go to crutchfield.com and look it up. as for the circuit board thing. i'm not familiar with the micra brand in particular, but there just might be the chance that the depth of the speaker might be an issue. i know the door panels don't allow for much speaker depth. i opted to do a simple trick. get 1/4" to 3/8" plywood and cut it large enough to be able to screw u're speaker onto it. then screw that plywood+speaker combo onto u're door. The panels give a lot of leeway outwards so don't worry about that. It worked for me. Besides, wouldn't u rather have a higher power (large magnet) speaker anyway? btw, i was able to fit 6 1/2" into my doors.
