how do i go about workn in some 20x8inch tires on a vehical that doesnt seem to have the space?

You Don't...
If it is just for rice, then get ready to dish out the Cash for flaring the Wells and
over fenders. Then find an offset of no greater than +20. So clearance against the
suspension will exist.
I would not advise driving it for a daily or touring tho..

Make sure you also consider the fact that 20 inch tires are super super expensive, and they wear out very fast. Not to mention that they decrease your acceleration quite significantly, they will also provide a horrible and noisy ride.
Be prepared to spend thousands for 4 20" wheels and to prep your car for them. Then add 800+ dollars for the tires that you will have to replace every 15 to 20 thousand miles. All so you can have a big wheel on your car.
IMO, you'd probably be just as happy with 17s, espacailly if your ride's lower'd.

what are the fattest 18inch wheels u can put on an 240 hatchback? front and back?

I have stock 15" tires on my 96 240sx. What advantages are there for going to 16 or 17" rims etc. Practical advantages, for street fun and racing. plus proper tire pressures for front and rear.
