Anyone know of anyplace to get G35 aftermarket rims? As anyone looking at the G35 knows, the Sport Tuned Suspension option is a rare bird. Currently you can't get a Sport package and Navigation at all (which is what I want). My dealer has found a regular suspension vehicle that meets my requirements, is willing to take the standard wheels and tires back, and is willing to order and install aftermarket wheels and tires. Now I only need to find some. I called Tirerack and they said it would be a couple weeks to a month before they had anything as the G35 is so new. I expect someone could make a killing doing this right now with the limited availability of the STS package. Besides the regular suspension is very tight and responsive...

thanks for any help

Mike

The G35 wheels have the same specs as the I35. If you match the factory specs, you will not have any problems. The factory specs follow:
17"x7" 5x114.5 bolt pattern (same as all five lug Infiniti models), 45mm offset. Just make sure you get wheels with hub centering rings. The ones without can cause vibration problems.

What would be the max wheel size to put in back of a G35 sedan? (I am trying to get a max size for the coupe, but I am thinking the sedan and the coupe are the same or similar)

What would be an optimal staggered set up?

The front wheelwell looks very tight. Not much room for a wider wheel/tires.

Not sure about the rear, but rear generally has more room to play with. But then you have different wheel/tire sizes and front to rear rotation is not possible.

Okay, I have the 18 X 8.5 w/ 235/40/18 on there and there is plenty of room. They look awesome on the car. images/icons/grin.gif I am waiting til the afermarket springs come out, but the rear fenders might have to be 'treated' for clearance.

Be aware that Nissan has a radial force imbalance spec of 14 pounds per wheel/tire combination [roughly the equivalent of a single 7 gram rim weight error at 70 mph] at least on selected Infiniti models for 17" and 18". They are having a hard time meeting this spec on all 4 tires brand new!!!!!
You may find this difficult to achieve on most tires and wheel combinations unless they are very premium [expensive].
The general industry standard is around 20-26 pounds for general purpose non sensitive cars.
When buying tire wheel combinations always get in writing what the specifications are for radial force imbalance accept nothing without documentation as there are some really bad wheels on the market plus many are not strong enough to last a few years without deforming!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MOST Nissan, Toyota, Mazda, and many other car companies use the same size for all 5 lugs which is 114.3 PCD. The main thing you need to know when shopping for wheels for your car is..
5 lug
114.3
and offset.
I don't know what offset the stock wheels are (probably around 30) but you can use a number of combonations.

I have no idea why in the US all the wheel companies advertise wheels per "car it fits".
For example, you have to supposedly find what exact rims fit your car, when in REALITY MOST wheels are interchangable. As long as the PCD, lug hole number, and offset is ok then the rims fit.
Overseas in most countries they advertise by what the wheel size is, but maybe this is because more people are educated as to what their vehicle takes plus all the info is available on your stock wheels.

So.. in REALITY, there are ALLREADY hundreds of wheels to choose from for your new G35, and with the suspension question.. keep in mind Nissan (and alot of Japanese companies) like to reuse alot of the same parts to keep costs down and most likely there is allready suspension that would fit, however I do know that here in Japan, there are allready many companies making specific aftermarket coilovers, sport suspension, and the like for your V35 car. (V35 is the chassis code for your car)
