For those of you who don't know me, I got a 380+ hp 240sx that is currently down. Never ever use totalseal rings...anyway back to my story. While the car is down I am doing a few more mods: I've ordered a custom set of jim wolf 8.6:1 pistons (for longer rods) that will be teflon coated on the sides and heat treated on top. Also longer than stock Crower rifled drilled rods. I'm planning on going with a T04E .50E with a T4E .58 trim turbine section with an O trim wheel. With a JWT 4 bar fuel setup and a 65hp spool kit. I may also add a direct port NOS kit for the high end. I will make no less than 400rwhp and probably up to around 550rwhp.... I'm polishing the top half of my intake, my fuel rail, turbo, and BOV. All of my pipes will be HPC coated and more....

so here's the problem...transmission, driveshaft, rearend, clutch and body all in that order. well first things first...Does anyone know anyone who uses a better tranny for the 240?

Quaiffe dog geared sequential 6 speed tranny or the Greddy unit. Only problem is the $$$$.

As for Chassis, I've been unsuccessful in obtaining a local source for the chassis stiffening foam. Might ultimately have to hit up the parent company for the source.

Ok, I'll bite...why not Total Seal rings?

So you tried the local body shops?

They didn't last. Nothing was found of the first ring on all the piston when he opened up the engine.

Heck, even JWT is recommending the use of '98 Altima rings on turbocharger applications...

Even the Infiniti service department was hesitant about selling the stuff...

Ever since I read about the chassis stiffening foam in SCC, I wanted to get it. But I rather pay somebody to do it for me. I wouldn't want to mess that up. I wanted the total seal rings also, but now I'll think twice about it.

They were the ones who were reluctant...

I don't get it? Are they are afraid you're gonna do bodywork on a Q45 or something?
