I recently changed out my spark plugs, and I really didn't want to spend $10 on NGK platinums. Well, I made the big mistake of getting Bosch platinums. Now my car runs like crap. Well I was thinking, if I'm gonna spend $10 on one spark plug, then I might as well get some really good stuff. So if anybody has tried any of these plugs then please give me some info on them; Denso iridium, HKS, Greddy, Blitz.

Stay with NGK platinum. They maybe expensive but worth it. If your local dealer has flyers, there's usually a 25% off coupon for parts - use it!

what problems do the platinum plugs cause? i put in bosch platinums too (then i saw the faq entry that they werent any good, GOOD TIMING!), now the car doesnt shake hard intermitently at idle but it shakes weaker but more often now and i think it may have lost a bit of power but im not sure. is that because of the plugs or what?

i just tried ordering them from nopi. their damn server screwed up, the order either didnt go through or went through 3 times.

when people said $10 i thought you ment EACH, damn ~$2.50 is definitely NOT a lot for plugs http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif

They, are $10 a piece buddy. The plugs and wires costed about $90 with shipping. It sucks. But you have to call in the order. I first tried to order online they didn't have the plugs. Then I had to call it in twice. They finally had the order right on the second time. Oh well at least I got my stuff.

It's OK, I don't think they had the plugs for our car listed. They just had the wires listed. The wires were $42. I think you have to order the plugs by phone. It took the guy a while to look it up.

Just go to www.NOPI.com (http://www.NOPI.com) and call one of the guys they have listed on the site and they'll help you out.

what kind of mods are you running with? If you heavily modified your car, then run colder plugs to be safe. Otherwise, I would just go with regular NGK plugs because it will do the trick. I think this is true when you are running aftermarket ignition setup that requires a little more resistance to discharge a larger spark.

Well, I just replaced my plugs back to the NGK's. And I'll tell you what, it runs like a dream. It's not as boggy anymore. I also put some NGK wires on. Got them both from NOPI. And they work great. I haven't really used up a whole tank yet. But when I was using the Bosch plugs I was getting around 20.7 mpg. But on my old plugs I remembered I got 30 at least three times. So they are alot better than the Bosch.

I only have a K&N cone filter with the home made ram air. The factory plugs on my '98 were NGK laser platinums. I'm just glad I could order mine from somewhere else other than Pep-Boys. They wanted $25 a pop for those suckers.
