Well, I just called JWT today and they told me I couldn't use the Z's MAF with their computer for the 240 http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif. I need to buy the Cobra's MAF now. What a waste of money. Anobody interested in buying a brand new 300ZX TT MAF? Next time I'll call before buying a part.
WTF?? I thought this was a common thing to do with turbo 240s is a 300zx MAF and 370cc/min injectors? BTW, apparently Ford raised the price of the '93 Ford Cobra MAF...the place I bought it from (www.mustangparts.com) used to list it at $190, now its $250...I shoulda bought it a month ago.

Whoa. I forgot to mention, I wanted the 50lb injectors and fuel rail. The guy, Ben I think his name was, told me with the 50lb injectors, I could only use the Cobra MAF. Do you know the exact part number on the Cobras MAF? $250 is the same price that JWT sells it for. I want to search a little to see if I could find it for cheaper.

Why go smaller? Each MAFS only read 1.5L worth of engine where the 240SX MAFS reads 2.4L worth... The mustang Cobra MAFS reads 4.6L worth... Almost double the 240SX MAFS.

The 300ZXTT only has one MAF http://forums.freshalloy.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif And its reading a turbocharged engine, so there's a lot higher airflow than an N/A 2.4 L engine, and probably comparable to the 5.0 Mustang MAF (The '93 Cobra, which is the MAF they use, was still the 5.0).

Whoa...I was just checking on www.carparts.com (http://www.carparts.com) for the Cobra MAF, and they have a Granatelli Motorsports Cobra MAF for $260. And www.importhookup.com (http://www.importhookup.com) has a 33%-off coupon...Anyway, you should call JWT and ask them if an aftermarket Cobra MAF will work, since with 33% off its like $175. I think the stock Cobra MAF is 70mm and the Granatelli MAF is 80 mm...and since it's designed to work in a Cobra with no other changes, I'd imagine it would work in this application too. Just make sure you ask which injector rating the MAF is designed for. Anyway, hope you can figure it out.

Hey, that's a good deal. I'm kinda worried though. I don't want to get stuck with another MAF I'll have to use for a paper weight. I'll call up the folks at JWT and see what they say. Thanks for the help.

yeah wolf has been giving me the run around on the my MAF. I think I've located the 93 Cobra R MAF
Part Number: F1SZ-12B579-A
here locally used, got to confirm. Also the thing that boils me about wolf is they claim to only be able to program for 370's and 500cc injectors...I've got some 44's that would work, however they "claim" not to be able to help me.
I've located an ECu for $400 to be reprogrammed, all I need are the MAF and injectors course all my stuff if SOHC so no one has it.....
just though I'd vent about wolf
