Get the F-max kit. Thats what I suggest. Their workmanship on it is awesome from what I've heard. And their SR20DE stage II turbo kit is just awesome. Thats if you're looking for power. I think you also have to swap out for stronger pistons if you wanna run higher boost which is always fun. =)

Like I said, check out F-Max they're based out of Escondido, CA. I think their website is
http://www.f-max.com

The only thing is that they don't have a CARB number for their kit, which does help. HKS had talked about maybe releasing a CARB legal turbo kit for the 240 but I don't think that it happened. Otherwise you'd have to put one together yourself. You can get the manifold from F-Max or Revhard. I think theres one other place that sells a manifold for the KA motor. Then it would be all about getting the other parts.

As far as I know there are no "street legal" turbos for any Nissan in the US accept for those that came factory (300ZX, old school 200SX), oh yeah, and the new one out from JWT for the SR20 engines. Which I guess is a problem for all us Cali folks. But I hear that they will pass emissions as long as they have all the proper fittings and such, you just need to find a mod friendly station that will "overlook" the visual.

NSport also has a turbo kit for the KA24DE's. It's a CARB legal one. Well, it was when it first came out. I don't know if it still is. NSport bought the kit form Bell Engineering(?). The previous company had it CARB certified. But it's so different from that kit now. I'm not sure if it's still CARB legal. When I went down to that shop, they had replaced a lot of the original kit with new parts. You might want check that out. I like the F-Max kit also. Includes everything you need. Except the CARB papers. That's what I would get. I'm putting one together myself and I wish I would have just bought a kit, but there weren't any available a few years ago. Lots of headaches when you try to assemble one yourself.

Yeah, unfortunately the NSport kit is no longer CARB legal. I emailed them about that a while ago. They bought the kit from Kenne Bell (not Bell Engineering, which is Corky Bell's company).

About the NSport kit. Can't you just get the CARB number from them and get a smog the regular way? Of course, this is if you know your car can pass the smog. I doubt a mechanic would know all the different turbo kits on the market. That's what I was thinking. Just a suggestion.
