Does a car that runs Mikuni carbs for fuel intake/mixing not need an ECU? Does anyone know of anyone that runs their engine (KA or SR) with carbs for performance? also combined with a turbocharger?

A carb-equipped car does not need an ECU. The NASport racing 240sx's use 300+hp non-turbo carbureted KA's (due to the rules...I'm sure if they were allowed to use EFI they would use it), and some people with 510's are using carbs on a KA. But I think carbs are probably more trouble than they're worth, especially on a turbo car.

I'll have to agree with asad137. I would rather keep the EFI. Carbs? No thanks.
