I want to know about supercharging my engine. Believe me, I've heard from a whole lot of people how turbocharging is the best way to go and why. I understand that turbo seems to be the popular way to go and that's why I want to supercharge it. Noone, to the best of my knowledge, has ever done it and I want to be the first. So while I don't mind a good debate, I would also like some feedback that is NOT negative. So far, this is what I've come up with. The best type of charger for the purpose seems to the centrifugal type. This is basically a turbo driven by a belt rather than the exhaust, so mounting seems to be limited only by the alignment of the pulleys. what I need to know is, Does anyone know who makes a good unit, and where would be a good place to mount it? The engine bays kinda crowded and any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks for reading this long ass post and for any help you can give.

Theres some people that have already supercharged their 240's. Acutally 240's, 180's, or Silvias. There is some guy near Fresno Cali that is supercharging his KA and I think he said he's gonna have his car done by the end of this summer. But I know there is a supercharged SR20 powered 180SX out in Australia and he was hitting 12's in the quarter running a 12psi pulley. Oh yeah and he was using a whipple supercharger... but thats about all I can remember about that.

I do not think anybody sells superchargers for the KA24E. I myself own a KA24E based 240sx and have looked for a supercharger for it.You will probably have to make a custom supercharger(that is what people told me) if you want to supercharge it. Paxton and Vortech make superchargers, but not for the KA24E. If you do find info on a supercharger for the KA24E then inform me because I would rather supercharge than turbocharge my KA24E also.

Well the guy that did it in Australia... I think thats where he's from... he used a whipple supercharger... I have to look up the site... and I know that it was a custom job... I can't remember what the guy near Fresno was going to use, but I'm sure that I can ask him.
